Sri Lanka – Summer Go Surf Special
Sri Lanka is a great place for surfing activities and it has been a popular destination since the 1970s. The main attraction is Arugam Bay on the east coast, considered one of the top 10 places in the world. The seasonality of Arugam Bay is especially recommended in the months of July and August, each year experienced surfers return to experience the thrilling waves and relatively deserted beaches. Join us for a fabulous surf stay in Sri Lanka! Southeast Coast: Considered as one of the ten best surf sites in the world, Arugam Bay is also known as Abay, and features several locations including Ullah Point, Pottuvil Point, Surf Point, Peanut Farm Point and Crocodile Rock. Arugam Bay is suitable for beginners; while Pottuvil Point located on a deserted beach north of Arugam Bay is best suitable for experienced surfers; Crocodile Rock is another challenging surf spot south of Arugam Bay, that offers waves up to 5 – 6 ft and up to 400 meters long and relatively isolated beaches are a big draw for surfers. Surfboards can be rented in town and surf lessons for beginners can be booked.

Breakfast. Departure for Nuwara Eliya (about 4-5 hours of travel) with a stop along the way at the small village of Ella, the little gem of the Hill country. Arrival in Nuwara Eliya, a mountain station located at 1,868 m of altitude, in a beautiful landscape. It is a particularly well-kept and clean city, with a British colonial style that distinguishes it from all the others. The town was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red brick walls, Tudor style houses. Nuwara Eliya enjoys a particularly healthy climate, and given its morphology, it boasts breathtaking landscapes over valleys, meadows, mountains and forests. City tour with photo stop near the tea plantations and visits of the local market. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

From 1 January 2012, a new regulation has been introduced concerning the visa regime for entry into the country: those who intend to visit Sri Lanka (for tourism or business) must first acquire the “ETA – Electronic Travel Authorization” entry visa. , at a minimum cost of US $ 35 (from 1 January 2013), which entitles you to enter the country for up to 30 days. The ETA can be requested online, on the website or through travel agencies or at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Rome. It is also possible to obtain the ETA upon arrival at Colombo airport at a cost of US $ 40.
