It is exposed to all winds of the western quadrants, in particular to the mistral. During the strongest storms the waves can reach 4 meters in height.

Supertubos beach (Peniche), PORTUGAL

Since 2010 it has hosted one of the stages of the World Surfing Championship (WCT) – Rip Curl Pro Search, in October.

Guincho Beach is located at the westernmost point of the Lisbon area, shortly after Cascais. In the 90s, Guincho was one of the stages of the Windsurfing World Cup. It hosts various sporting events each year including the National Surf and Bodyboard Championship.
