This beach, 90 meters long and 100 meters wide, is located inside the Urdabai Biosphere Reserve, which is why it is not very urbanized and nature is unspoiled. The Mundaka wave is considered to be one of the best lefts in Europe and perhaps even in the world. It is a long, concave wave that can reach almost 400 meters in length.

Beautiful and rugged County Sligo in the north west of Ireland boasts some of the best surfing spots in Ireland in the Easkey area. The beaches of Esakey Left and Easkey Right are very famous and perfect even for beginners. The atmosphere is relaxed, calm and friendly.
Thurso East is one of the best surf spots on Scotland’s north coast. The beach came into the spotlight in 2006, when it was chosen for a surfing competition, and is still the location of many international competitions today. Although it can get very busy in the high season, Thurso East is perfect for year round surfing.
Cornwall is not only one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations, but also a great surf spot. Some say its location, diving directly into the Atlantic Ocean, makes it perfect for surfing the waves. Coastal resorts such as Perranporth, Polzeath and Newquay boast excellent surfing beaches.
This rocky cape, famous among surfers from all over Europe, is located 30 km northwest of Oristano and is characterized by small and solitary beaches. It is exposed to all winds of the western quadrants, in particular to the mistral. During the strongest storms the waves can reach 4 meters in height.
The beach is known for its perfectly shaped tubular waves; it is also known as “the pipeline” of Europe due to its great resemblance to the Hawaiian wave. The crests of the waves are so long that they create empty corridors, real “tubes” that attract surfers from all over the world throughout the year. Since 2010 it has hosted one of the stages of the World Surfing Championship (WCT) – Rip Curl Pro Search, in October.
Guincho Beach is located at the westernmost point of the Lisbon area, shortly after Cascais. With its 250 meters in length, it is undoubtedly one of the best spots in Portugal for the practice of water sports such as surfing and windsurfing. In the 90s, Guincho was one of the stages of the Windsurfing World Cup. It hosts various sporting events each year including the National Surf and Bodyboard Championship.
It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal and offers a splendid panoramic view of the Costa Vicentina. It extends along a beach of over 500 meters, forming a bay protected from the breaking waves. Out of season, it is popular with surfers and bodyboarders. Its natural conditions guarantee waves all year round.
Fehmarn is one of the most popular surfing areas in Germany and, with its variety, attracts the best existing surfers. But even for beginners the island offers numerous bays with shallow waters. In its 20 spots come surfers, windsurfers and kitusurfers; it is above all the two bays Altenteil and Westermakelsdorf that have earned the place the nickname of “Germany’s Hawaii”.
